B.C. (Before Christ) and A.D. (Anno Domini - in the year of our Lord)

Time before the birth of Christ is defined with the number of years until the birth of Christ. Time after the birth of Christ is defined with the number of years after the birth of Christ. Therefore all of time is based on the birth of Jesus Christ.

B.B. (Before Birth)

The age of an individual is also based on a birth, the individual's birth. Therefore while a person is alive and unborn, their age could be determined and based on the expected time of birth.
